2008 Harley-Davidson Pickup Truck
Ford introduced the 105th Anniversary Editon Ford Harley-Davidson Editon Super Duty pickup.
Ford launched its 2008 105th Anniversary Edition Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-Series Super Duty that continues the strong relationship between the two companies. Now, for the first time, the twosome is producing Harley-Davidson ™ editions of the F-150 and Super Duty pickups in the same model year - and with the same design features.
"This is a great opportunity for Ford and Harley-Davidson - two American icons - to celebrate 105 years of shared passion for the open road," said Tom Aubrey, marketing manager, Ford F-Series Super Duty. "Truck and motorcycle customers share the same values and dreams: they work hard, believe in genuine products and love experiencing the nation's highways and byways."
The 2008 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-Series Super Duty is the 11th model to emerge from a Ford Harley-Davidson alliance that began in 1999. The co-branding of these two storied companies has proven to be a successful formula, with sales totaling more than 60,000 units.
The 2008 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-Series Super Duty draws its design theme from the special-edition 105 th Anniversary Harley-Davidson® motorcycle and its distinctive Vintage Copper paint. A special "105 th Anniversary Harley-Davidson F-Series Super Duty" badge adorns the exterior and interior of the truck. The unique paint options, graphic treatments and singular wheel design work together with Super Duty's strong, distinctive looks to give the vehicle a bold attitude that unmistakably connects the truck to the rich history and tradition of Harley-Davidson ® motorcycles.
"The design of the side vent and grille on the Super Duty represents the heat stakes on a cylinder head of a Harley-Davidson® V-Twin engine," said Brad Richards, design manager, Ford Harley-Davidson ™ trucks. "That was intentional as we wanted to thematically tie theses trucks directly to the bikes in ways that enthusiasts would appreciate."
The 2008 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-Series Super Duty offers a choice of black monochromatic exterior paint with a custom Vintage Copper stripe running along the beltline - or a black and Vintage Copper two-tone paint scheme.
The Vintage Copper color accents are carried through the interior as well, accenting specially designed leather seats. A unique instrument cluster and one-of-a-kind 105th Anniversary badge round out the interior.
"These trucks are pure customs - right from the factory," said Pat Schiavone, design director, Ford trucks. "I've been involved with Harley-Davidson™ trucks since day one, and this is my favorite."

2007 Harley-Davidson Pickup Truck
Hot-Rod Inspired Custom Looks
For 2007, the Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150 Super Crew visually communicates power, dressed in all black,
oozing chrome and sporting distinctive Harley-Davidson visual cues. The Black Monotone exterior is accented
with a hot-rod inspired custom scalloped stripe running along the beltline. The custom stripe adds to the
overall performance feel of the vehicle, creating a sense of motion and speed. "Harley-Davidson" script is
featured along the bed side in three dimensional chrome letters. The new model also features a unique color
option, Dark Amethyst, with a complimentary stripe color.
Built for Performance
Enthusiast events such as South Dakota's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Daytona Bike Week in Florida,
along with everyday customer feedback, helped shape the performance story for the new 2007 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150.
Customers said they wanted bigger wheels and all-wheel-drive capability. Besides boasting 22-inch wheels, this truck
includes a performance sport handling suspension that's tuned to deliver a more precise driving feel.
Customers now also have the choice between 4x2 and all-wheel drive, with the capability to handle more challenging
driving conditions and road surfaces - ranging from dry pavement to winter weather. The new AWD system continuously
monitors the wheel speeds and throttle position to determine the appropriate amount of power to send to the front of
the truck to help prevent slip. Customers also can choose to override AWD by simply selecting the locked mode.
Lurking under the hood of the 2007 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150 is a 5.4-liter, three-valve Triton® V-8 featuring
a specially tuned exhaust system that delivers a more powerful, throatier rumble. It turns out 300 horsepower
at 5,000 rpm and 365 foot-pound of torque at 3,750 rpm.

2005 Harley-Davidson
For 2005, the Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-Series Super Duty is HOT with two
bold new optional flame paint jobs – the first factory-painted flame trucks in the industry –
and a host of distinctive comfort and appearance features.
The custom appearance starts up front, with a unique black-and-chrome billet-like grille and
blacked-out headlamps. Chrome tow hooks and fog lamps add pinpoints of light, particularly
evident on black trucks.
The bright-polished forged aluminum wheels – now at a 20-inch size that is another first for the
segment – feature dimples around the rim, precisely milled spokes and distinctive “Harley-Davidson”
script on center caps that show off the locking chrome lug nuts. Between the wheel wells, a tubular
chrome step bar with the Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo now features a black-out backer for a
cleaner, more integrated appearance.
The distinctive custom flames – in Toreador Red on black, or True Blue with Medium Wedgwood Blue –
use Ford’s patented new wet-on-wet paint process to produce factory-painted graphics that are as
smooth and seamless as those applied in a custom motorcycle shop.
Ford’s production team knew right away that this process would open up exciting new possibilities,
especially for the Harley-Davidson™ Ford Super Duty.
They studied the truck, discussed flame philosophy, then Drea pulled a China marker from
his pocket and drew the flame pattern right on the sheet metal. Digitized templates were
pulled directly from his flowing lines.
Industry-Leading Wet-On-Wet Paint
In the wet-on-wet paint process, a special primer allows a second coat of paint to be
applied while the first layer is still wet. In the case of the black flamed truck, the
Toreador Red layer is painted first, across the lower half of the truck.
An ultra-thin mask in the shape of the flame pattern is applied over this red paint,
and the black topcoat is sprayed immediately. The thin mask is pulled off, a clear topcoat
is sprayed on, and chemical bonding between the layers produces a smooth, durable,
seamless finish.
The standard Ford Harley-Davidson™ Super Duty package pairs black exterior paint with a
thin, competition-orange tape stripe that extends fully around the vehicle. Heavyweight
zinc die-cast metal badges celebrate the Ford Harley-Davidson Alliance, and a large
Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo marks the standard rubber bed mat.
Chrome tie-down hooks and a bullet-style welded-on chrome exhaust tip, with dimples to
match the wheel design, provide bright relief at the rear of the vehicle.
New Two-Tone Leather Seating
All Ford Harley-Davidson™ Super Duty trucks sport a distinctive interior, with stitched
two-tone black leather trimmed seats bearing the Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo. Interior
door panels are Dark Flint – darker than the standard Super Duty interior, to create a
warm persona.
The door inserts and instrument panel applique feature a technical pattern that resembles
carbon fiber – until you look very closely and see the hundreds of tiny Harley-Davidson
Bar & Shield logos.
The unique gauge cluster features twin chrome-ringed instruments with spun-metal faces and a
contoured chrome “bridge” joining them. Most touchpoints, including the power seat controls,
are chromed. Brake and accelerator pedals resemble the chrome-and-black footboards of a
custom big V-twin cruiser. The ignition key has a Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo on
one side and a Ford oval on the other.
The truck features a serialized nickel plate atop the black-leather-wrapped center console,
showing the truck’s production date and number. Rear seats are available as a bench or
captain’s chairs with center console.
The 2005 Ford Harley-Davidson™ Super Duty is available in F-250 and F-350 4x4
configuration with either the 6.0-liter Power Stroke diesel or 6.8-liter Triton
V-10 engine. Production begins in the fourth quarter of this year.
