2012 Harley Davidson Pickup Truck

2013 Harley Davidson Pickup Truck

The 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F150 delivers on the custom cool design the lineup is known for, with new snakeskin leather interior accents and a stylized bodyside graphic. Also new are the wheel design and a premium paint color. Combine that with a standard 6.2liter V8 engine and plenty of technology, and it delivers power, capability and style like no other.

This is a great pairing of two icons of the open road: Ford and Harley Davidson. Both brands appeal to truck owners and motorcycle enthusiasts alike, said Marc Lapine, Ford F 150 marketing manager. For 2012 we worked with Harley Davidson to continue to push the styling envelope while still delivering the durability and power that F 150 is known for and that our collective customers expect. It perfectly captures both brands.

The successful collaboration between Ford and Harley Davidson has produced 10 F150 models, as well as six Super Duty F250 and F350 models, and in 2009 the first Harley Davidson F450 edition truck. Ford has sold more than 70,000 Ford Harley Davidson FSeries trucks since the brands teamed up in 1999.

Design in the details

The exterior of the 2012 Ford Harley Davidson F 150 offers a bold front fascia and six-bar billet style bright chrome grille, and it boasts “Harley-Davidson” bright chrome badging. The truck also has a lowered appearance with a standard, fully integrated deployable running board.

Also standard are new 22 inch machined-aluminum wheels with painted accents and Harley-Davidson bar and shield logo on center cap. The paint selection is classic Harley Davidson – Tuxedo Black and White Platinum TriCoat; this is the first year white has been offered.

New graphics on the bodyside of the truck are executed in a unique snakeskin texture, while Harley Davidson dimensional lettering is featured on the box side. The snakeskin is inspired by tank inserts on premium level Harley Davidson motorcycles and also comes into play on the interior. Nearly every member of the Harley Davidson F150 team at Ford is a Harley Davidson owner.

New 6.2L Power

Ford tapped into a bit of its proud racing heritage to create the 6.2liter V8 gasoline engine, which uses big bore architecture to produce impressive horsepower and torque. The gasoline engine delivers a best in class 411 horsepower and 434 lb.ft. of torque and provides maximum trailer towing capability of 7,500 pounds.

Customer benefits of the 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine include:

  • SOHC valvetrain with roller rocker shafts: The single overhead camshaft (SOHC) per cylinder head design results in a stiff valvetrain that allows optimized camshaft lift profiles and results in great low-speed torque. The roller-rocker shafts allow valve angles to be splayed, resulting in optimized intake and exhaust port layout for better breathing
  • Dual equal variable cam timing: Intake and exhaust valve opening and closing events are phased at the same time to optimize fuel efficiency and performance throughout the engine speed range and throttle positions
  • Two spark plugs per cylinder: Due to the large bore size, two spark plugs per cylinder are used to more efficiently burn the fuel air mixture in the combustion chamber, enabling better fuel economy and increased engine torque. The twin plugs also help the engine maintain a smooth, stable idle
  • Dual knock sensors: A knock sensor on each bank of cylinders of the V8 engine allows the spark timing of each cylinder to be individually optimized real-time, throughout the engine speed range. The engine learns the optimum timing via an adaptive algorithm
FSeries firsts

Harley-Davidson FSeries trucks have continuously been pushing the envelope of innovation, bringing a variety of features to FSeries for the first time, including:

  • 20-inch wheels
  • 22-inch wheels
  • Wet-on-wet paint
  • Superchargers
  • Badges as interior ornamentation
  • All-wheel drive
  • Power deployable running boards
  • High-gloss painted interior

2008 Harley Davidson Pickup Truck

Ford introduced the 105th Anniversary Editon Ford Harley Davidson Editon Super Duty pickup.

Ford launched its 2008 105th Anniversary Edition Ford Harley Davidson F Series Super Duty that continues the strong relationship between the two companies. Now, for the first time, the twosome is producing Harley Davidson editions of the F150 and Super Duty pickups in the same model year - and with the same design features. "This is a great opportunity for Ford and Harley Davidson - two American icons - to celebrate 105 years of shared passion for the open road," said Tom Aubrey, marketing manager, Ford F-Series Super Duty. "Truck and motorcycle customers share the same values and dreams: they work hard, believe in genuine products and love experiencing the nation's highways and byways."

The 2008 Ford HarleyDavidson F-Series Super Duty is the 11th model to emerge from a Ford Harley-Davidson alliance that began in 1999. The co-branding of these two storied companies has proven to be a successful formula, with sales totaling more than 60,000 units. The 2008 Ford Harley Davidson FSeries Super Duty draws its design theme from the special-edition 105 th Anniversary Harley-DavidsonÂ*® motorcycle and its distinctive Vintage Copper paint. A special "105 th Anniversary Harley-Davidson F-Series Super Duty" badge adorns the exterior and interior of the truck. The unique paint options, graphic treatments and singular wheel design work together with Super Duty's strong, distinctive looks to give the vehicle a bold attitude that unmistakably connects the truck to the rich history and tradition of Harley-Davidson Â*® motorcycles.

"The design of the side vent and grille on the Super Duty represents the heat stakes on a cylinder head of a Harley Davidson VTwin engine," said Brad Richards, design manager, Ford Harley Davidson trucks. "That was intentional as we wanted to thematically tie theses trucks directly to the bikes in ways that enthusiasts would appreciate." The 2008 Ford Harley DavidsonF Series Super Duty offers a choice of black monochromatic exterior paint with a custom Vintage Copper stripe running along the beltline - or a black and Vintage Copper two-tone paint scheme. The Vintage Copper color accents are carried through the interior as well, accenting specially designed leather seats. A unique instrument cluster and one of a kind 105th Anniversary badge round out the interior. "These trucks are pure customs - right from the factory," said Pat Schiavone, design director, Ford trucks. "I've been involved with Harley Davidson trucks since day one, and this is my favorite."

Ford Harley-Davidson Pickup Truck, F250, Ford F250 - Built for Performance

Enthusiast events such as South Dakota's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Daytona Bike Week in Florida, along with everyday customer feedback, helped shape the performance story for the new 2007 Ford Harley Davidson F150. Customers said they wanted bigger wheels and all wheel drive capability. Besides boasting 22-inch wheels, this truck includes a performance sport handling suspension that's tuned to deliver a more precise driving feel.

Customers now also have the choice between 4x2 and all wheel drive, with the capability to handle more challenging driving conditions and road surfaces - ranging from dry pavement to winter weather. The new AWD system continuously monitors the wheel speeds and throttle position to determine the appropriate amount of power to send to the front of the truck to help prevent slip. Customers also can choose to override AWD by simply selecting the locked mode.

Lurking under the hood of the 2007 Ford Harley Davidson F150 is a 5.4 liter, three valve Triton V8 featuring a specially tuned exhaust system that delivers a more powerful, throatier rumble. It turns out 300 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 365 foot-pound of torque at 3,750 rpm.

2005 Harley Davidson Pickup Truck

2005 Harley Davidson Pickup Truck

The bright-polished forged aluminum wheels â€'œ now at a 20-inch size that is another first for the segment â€'œ feature dimples around the rim, precisely milled spokes and distinctive â€âHarley-Davidsonâ€* script on center caps that show off the locking chrome lug nuts. Between the wheel wells, a tubular chrome step bar with the Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo now features a black-out backer for a cleaner, more integrated appearance.

The distinctive custom flames â€'œ in Toreador Red on black, or True Blue with Medium Wedgwood Blue â€'œ use Ford’s patented new wet-on-wet paint process to produce factory-painted graphics that are as smooth and seamless as those applied in a custom motorcycle shop.

Ford’s production team knew right away that this process would open up exciting new possibilities, especially for the Harley-Davidsonâ'ž*¢ Ford Super Duty.

They studied the truck, discussed flame philosophy, then Drea pulled a China marker from his pocket and drew the flame pattern right on the sheet metal. Digitized templates were pulled directly from his flowing lines.

Industry-Leading Wet On Wet Paint

In the wet-on-wet paint process, a special primer allows a second coat of paint to be applied while the first layer is still wet. In the case of the black flamed truck, the Toreador Red layer is painted first, across the lower half of the truck.

An ultra-thin mask in the shape of the flame pattern is applied over this red paint, and the black topcoat is sprayed immediately. The thin mask is pulled off, a clear topcoat is sprayed on, and chemical bonding between the layers produces a smooth, durable, seamless finish.

The standard Ford Harley Davidson Super Duty package pairs black exterior paint with a thin, competition orange tape stripe that extends fully around the vehicle. Heavyweight zinc die-cast metal badges celebrate the Ford Harley Davidson Alliance, and a large Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo marks the standard rubber bed mat.

Chrome tie-down hooks and a bullet style welded on chrome exhaust tip, with dimples to match the wheel design, provide bright relief at the rear of the vehicle.

New Two-Tone Leather Seating

All Ford Harley Davidson Super Duty trucks sport a distinctive interior, with stitched two-tone black leather trimmed seats bearing the Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo. Interior door panels are Dark Flint darker than the standard Super Duty interior, to create a warm persona.

The door inserts and instrument panel applique feature a technical pattern that resembles carbon fiber until you look very closely and see the hundreds of tiny Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logos.

The unique gauge cluster features twin chrome-ringed instruments with spun-metal faces and a contoured chrome bridge joining them. Most touchpoints, including the power seat controls, are chromed. Brake and accelerator pedals resemble the chrome and black footboards of a custom big V-twin cruiser. The ignition key has a Harley Davidson Bar & Shield logo on one side and a Ford oval on the other.

The truck features a serialized nickel plate atop the black-leather-wrapped center console, showing the trucks production date and number. Rear seats are available as a bench or captains chairs with center console.

The 2005 Ford Harley Davidson Super Duty is available in F250 and F350 4x4 configuration with either the 6.0 liter Power Stroke diesel or 6.8 liter Triton V10 engine. Production begins in the fourth quarter of this year.

2008 Harley Davidson Pickup Truck

2008 Harley Davidson Pickup Truck

Ford introduced the 105th Anniversary Editon Ford Harley-Davidson Editon Super Duty pickup.

Ford launched its 2008 105th Anniversary Edition Ford Harley-Davidsonâ'ž*¢ F-Series Super Duty that continues the strong relationship between the two companies. Now, for the first time, the twosome is producing Harley-Davidson â'ž*¢ editions of the F-150 and Super Duty pickups in the same model year - and with the same design features. "This is a great opportunity for Ford and Harley-Davidson - two American icons - to celebrate 105 years of shared passion for the open road," said Tom Aubrey, marketing manager, Ford F-Series Super Duty. "Truck and motorcycle customers share the same values and dreams: they work hard, believe in genuine products and love experiencing the nation's highways and byways."

The 2008 Ford Harley-Davidsonâ'ž*¢ F-Series Super Duty is the 11th model to emerge from a Ford Harley-Davidson alliance that began in 1999. The co-branding of these two storied companies has proven to be a successful formula, with sales totaling more than 60,000 units. The 2008 Ford Harley-Davidsonâ'ž*¢ F-Series Super Duty draws its design theme from the special-edition 105 th Anniversary Harley-DavidsonÂ*® motorcycle and its distinctive Vintage Copper paint.

"The design of the side vent and grille on the Super Duty represents the heat stakes on a cylinder head of a Harley-DavidsonÂ*® V-Twin engine," said Brad Richards, design manager, Ford Harley-Davidson â'ž*¢ trucks. "That was intentional as we wanted to thematically tie theses trucks directly to the bikes in ways that enthusiasts would appreciate." The 2008 Ford Harley-Davidsonâ'ž*¢ F-Series Super Duty offers a choice of black monochromatic exterior paint with a custom Vintage Copper stripe running along the beltline - or a black and Vintage Copper two-tone paint scheme. The Vintage Copper color accents are carried through the interior as well, accenting specially designed leather seats. A unique instrument cluster and one-of-a-kind 105th Anniversary badge round out the interior. "These trucks are pure customs - right from the factory," said Pat Schiavone, design director, Ford trucks. "I've been involved with Harley-Davidsonâ'ž*¢ trucks since day one, and this is my favorite."

Ford Harley-Davidson Pickup Truck, F250, Ford F-250 - Built for Performance

Enthusiast events such as South Dakota's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Daytona Bike Week in Florida, along with everyday customer feedback, helped shape the performance story for the new 2007 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150. Customers said they wanted bigger wheels and all-wheel-drive capability. Besides boasting 22-inch wheels, this truck includes a performance sport handling suspension that's tuned to deliver a more precise driving feel.

Customers now also have the choice between 4x2 and all-wheel drive, with the capability to handle more challenging driving conditions and road surfaces - ranging from dry pavement to winter weather. The new AWD system continuously monitors the wheel speeds and throttle position to determine the appropriate amount of power to send to the front of the truck to help prevent slip. Customers also can choose to override AWD by simply selecting the locked mode.

Lurking under the hood of the 2007 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 is a 5.4-liter, three-valve Triton V-8 featuring a specially tuned exhaust system that delivers a more powerful, throatier rumble. It turns out 300 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 365 foot-pound of torque at 3,750 rpm.

2005 Harley Davidson Pickup Truck

The bright-polished forged aluminum wheels â€'œ now at a 20-inch size that is another first for the segment 'œ feature dimples around the rim, precisely milled spokes and distinctive Harley-Davidson script on center caps that show off the locking chrome lug nuts. Between the wheel wells, a tubular chrome step bar with the Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo now features a black-out backer for a cleaner, more integrated appearance.

The distinctive custom flames â€'œ in Toreador Red on black, or True Blue with Medium Wedgwood Blue â€'œ use Fords patented new wet-on-wet paint process to produce factory-painted graphics that are as smooth and seamless as those applied in a custom motorcycle shop.

Fords production team knew right away that this process would open up exciting new possibilities, especially for the Harley-Davidsonâ'ž*¢ Ford Super Duty.

They studied the truck, discussed flame philosophy, then Drea pulled a China marker from his pocket and drew the flame pattern right on the sheet metal. Digitized templates were pulled directly from his flowing lines.

Industry-Leading Wet-On-Wet Paint

In the wet-on-wet paint process, a special primer allows a second coat of paint to be applied while the first layer is still wet. In the case of the black flamed truck, the Toreador Red layer is painted first, across the lower half of the truck.

An ultra-thin mask in the shape of the flame pattern is applied over this red paint, and the black topcoat is sprayed immediately. The thin mask is pulled off, a clear topcoat is sprayed on, and chemical bonding between the layers produces a smooth, durable, seamless finish.

The standard Ford Harley-Davidsonâ'ž*¢ Super Duty package pairs black exterior paint with a thin, competition-orange tape stripe that extends fully around the vehicle. Heavyweight zinc die-cast metal badges celebrate the Ford Harley-Davidson Alliance, and a large Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo marks the standard rubber bed mat.

Chrome tie-down hooks and a bullet-style welded-on chrome exhaust tip, with dimples to match the wheel design, provide bright relief at the rear of the vehicle.

New Two-Tone Leather Seating

All Ford Harley-Davidson Super Duty trucks sport a distinctive interior, with stitched two-tone black leather trimmed seats bearing the Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo. Interior door panels are Dark Flint'œ darker than the standard Super Duty interior, to create a warm persona.

The door inserts and instrument panel applique feature a technical pattern that resembles carbon fiber'œ until you look very closely and see the hundreds of tiny Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logos.

The unique gauge cluster features twin chrome-ringed instruments with spun-metal faces and a contoured chrome bridge* joining them. Most touchpoints, including the power seat controls, are chromed. Brake and accelerator pedals resemble the chrome-and-black footboards of a custom big V-twin cruiser. The ignition key has a Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo on one side and a Ford oval on the other.

The truck features a serialized nickel plate atop the black-leather-wrapped center console, showing the trucks production date and number. Rear seats are available as a bench or captains chairs with center console.

The 2005 Ford Harley-Davidsonâ'ž*¢ Super Duty is available in F-250 and F-350 4x4 configuration with either the 6.0-liter Power Stroke diesel or 6.8-liter Triton V-10 engine. Production begins in the fourth quarter of this year.

2003 Harley Davidson Pickup Truck

2003 Harley Davidson Pickup Truck

Ford Motor Company and Harley-Davidson Motor Company unveiled the 2003 Ford Harley-DavidsonTM F-150 SuperCrew a supercharged, limited-edition truck that marks the beginning of a second century of business and the continuation of a successful alliance between two American manufacturers.

Getting two giants of American motoring together was a natural back in 1999 when we introduced the first Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 pickup, says Steve Lyons, Ford Division president. The alliance has continued, and with both Ford Motor Company and Harley-Davidson turning 100 in 2003, we thought it only fitting that we produce another special vehicle.

The Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 SuperCrew is being introduced as part of the 100th Anniversary Open Road Tour, a 10-city traveling festival that Harley-Davidson is hosting as part of its 100th birthday celebration. This weekend, the festival is in the Los Angeles area at the California Speedway, where the live music, motoring history and hard-driving atmosphere provides the ideal venue for introducing the newest Built Ford Tough truck.

Supercharged Power

The 2003 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 SuperCrew gets you where you are going with ease with its supercharged 5.4-liter SOHC Triton V-8 engine, producing 340 horsepower at 4,500 rpm and an impressive 425 foot-pounds of torque at 3,250 rpm. The engine meets low-emission vehicle standards.
